3. It helps the symbolism of "The Lamb" because they have to understand the good side and the bad side of God.
4. Suffering- the orphans
Why- putting the down the chimney and the chemicals in it hurt them.

The Hitchhiker
The narrator is driving to London is his lovely new BMW when he picks up a hitchhiker. The man, who looks rather like a rat, mentions that he's going to the horse races, but not to bet or work the ticket machines. The narrator is intrigued and says that he's a writer. They get to talking about the car, and the narrator proudly states that it can hit one hundred and twenty-nine miles per hour. The hitchhiker doubts that, so once they hit a straight patch of road, the narrator steps on the gas. They're almost there when a policeman on a motorcycle zooms past and signals them to stop. The cop is a bit of a bully and threatens to have the narrator thrown in prison. He takes down his address and also the address of the hitchhiker. Then he gives them a ticket and leaves and they continue on their way. The narrator is worried about the ticket, but the hitchhiker says it will be fine. They begin talking about their careers again, and eventually the hitchhiker announces that he is a "finger-smith." He is so skilled with his hands that he even manages to remove the narrator's belt without him noticing. He attends the races and steals money from the winners.

The Sound Machine
Klausner is a man obsessed with sound. He has a theory that there are many, many sounds in the world that humans are just unable to hear due to their high frequencies. He explains to his doctor that he has invented a machine that will allow him to tune in to those frequencies and convert those pitches into audible sound. The first time he tries it out in his yard, he hears shrieking in his headphones as his neighbor cuts roses from her garden. Each time a flower is cut, he hears a shriek. The next day, he tries a bigger experiment. He takes an axe and swings it into a large beech tree. He is horrified to hear the deep and pathetic moan that the tree makes in response. Klausner rushes back to the house and calls his doctor. The doctor agrees to come over and listen to the headphones, but just as Klausner takes a second swing at the tree a large branch crashes down between them and destroys the machine. Klausner is deeply shaken and asks the doctor to paint the tree's cuts with iodine. The doctor claims not to have heard anything, but he agrees to Klausner's demands and dresses the wounds.

Klausner- small frail man, nervous and twitchy,
The Doctor- tall man, nervous also

Plot Twist- the sound he was hearing was actually plants instead of other humans, dogs or plants that he thought it might on been.

Well, this was a interesting story, as short old drunk man marriaged to a religious women who has had three child die in the last four years. The husband has had 3 marriages, one die and the a divorce, don't seem like anything a religious women would want to get into. As they got in the room, my question was, why wasn't the husband in the room the whole time with his wife? Was he in the waiting room drunk? Where was he? This man didn't know how to say anything that would cheer his wife up. At home he went by the baby bed and said "why so small and weak" after two other of her babies have died. He didn't know anything nice to say at all. When the baby was brought into the world and when the husband came into the room, after looking at Adolfus he had said the same exact thing why do weak and small.
Wife- Sad, Religious, Outgoing
Husband- Drunk, Short, Useful, Grumpy
Plot Twist-The plot twist was when the doctor had been telling them the same thing that the doctors have been telling the family before about the babies that had died, they are all normal babies. The family didn't believe it at all. But when the had realized that everything was fine and the baby was normal, they were shocked and so grateful.

I am really not sure if this is a little town or not but it sounds like it is. In a little town like this, you know most of the policeman and it's funny because they would never think of her doing such a terrible thing because of her husband. When they started to eat the Lamb couldn't they of just checked finger prints on the sink or oven to see if she might of touched that after hitting her husband with the lamb, they could of connected the two finger prints together with the one from on her husband.
The wife- she is a crazy, quiet, with a respectful side when needed. Also she obviously knows what she has to do to get away with murder so she is very smart.
Jack Noonan-Push Over, unintelligent, stupid.
Husband- Drunk, Old Rude Man, Rich maybe.
The Plot twist- It was when she all of sudden had took the lamb and struck him upside the head with it. But the thing is that we have no clue what he told her, so he could of cheated on her, murdered someone we have no idea. But out of no where when she hit him that was crazy.

After school, Roald Dahl didn't go to university, but applied for a job at the Shell company, because he was sure they would send him abroad. He was sent to East Africa, where he got the adventure he wanted: great heat, crocodiles, snakes and safaries. He lived in the jungle, learned to speak Swahili and suffered from malaria. When the second World War broke out, he went to Nairobi to join the Royal Air Force. He was a fighter pilot and shot down German planes and got shot down himself. After 6 months in hospital he flew again.
